Drama
Drama is taught as part of the School curriculum, but also as an extra-curricular activity. The School enjoys a wide variety of productions, ranging from the toe-tapping, splurge firing musical Bugsy (2007) to everyone’s favourite, ‘Joseph’ in 2008 to the romantically evocative Grease (2009). Other recent performances have included; Oliver, Macbeth and Lord of the Flies. Nativities and other junior productions, Nativities and LAMDA presentation evenings complete the scene. In short there is something to suit every palate and talent.
Boys receive formal drama tuition within the curriculum from Years 1 to 6 where the focus is on LAMDA examinations and at least one public performance per year. Individual lessons are available by arrangement. A number of drama scholarship to senior independent schools have been won in recent years.
