‘Studies’, the name for homework at St John’s is designed to support and assess a pupil’s learning, not to extend it.  Set Studies tasks are  achievable and planned to be completed within the 30 minutes set aside for each subject. All boys from Years 4 to 8 complete their Studies at school under close supervision of subject teachers.  Where appropriate, differentiated work is set for boys.

Studies for boys in Years 4 and 5 is planned to last 45 mins per evening. Boys in Years 6 to 8 are set 60 mins studies.
