The Campion Unit
The Campion Unit exists to facilitate the identification and support the learning of children with dyslexia. Once confirmation of dyslexia is recieved from an Educational Psychologist the child may enter the Unit for additional support.
Following the Dyslexia Action Language Programme, children are taught using a multisensory approach, so exploiting strengths, as well as supporting weaknesses.
The department works closely with class and subject teachers for the good of the student. Partnership and commitment from parents is of paramount importance to ensure work is reinforced regularly through the completion of homework tasks.
