Design Technology

Design Technology - every young boy's dream! A popular subject at St John's but still an area that demands a great degree of analysis, creativity and planning.

Working mainly with plastic, wood and metal and tools that include a vacuum former, soldering irons, belt sanders and jigsaws, our boys are encouraged to design and create a wide variety of objects that utilise many of the skills learnt in Science, including; electronics, aerodynamics and material properties.

The subject is supported by additional extra curricular opportunities where boys are given the opportunity to utilse their skills on projects that are the result of their own imagination and creation.
