Pastoral Care at St John
The pastoral care at St John's is administered largely through our 'Animal System' (Please see accompanying drop down box). Upon arrival each boy is placed in an 'Animal' similar to most school 'Houses' - A system of fraternal or wider family links will ensure that a boy is able to maintain his family's connection with a particular animal.
Were a boy to become worried for any reason he would, in the first instance speak to his Class Tutor, who he sees at least three times a day. Following this he may wish to speak to his Animal Tutor, of which there are three in the School. Failing this, any member of staff would be available for pastoral support including both Deputy Headmasters, our Child Liaison Protection officer or the School's 'Independent Listener'.
