The Spiritual Life of the School

Here at St John’s Beaumont School we seek to nurture the spirituality of Ignatius Loyola within the school community and to promote Ignatian pedagogy within our curriculum. Committed to a faith that does justice we seek to animate the gospel call to love the poor and to collaborate with Jesuit social ministries and engage in outreach opportunities to those in need. As part of the world-wide body of Jesuit schools we seek to build on networks for sharing ideas and practices locally, nationally and internationally. In our tradition of respect for human thinking we seek to inculcate a respect for both faith and reason.

Ignatian Spirituality is at the heart of all that we do at St John’s. It may be visible through our liturgical celebrations, Religious Education programmes, retreats, outreach opportunities, chaplaincy services and most importantly, in the everyday moments. Ignatian Spirituality is spirituality of service and as such it is a lived experience which characterises the way we show love, respect and strive to do our best for the greater glory of God.
